The most obvious benefit of online private high schools is the freedom in flexibility that they provide. Many in-person high schools have a strict schedule. This can be difficult for families that have to commute from further away or do not have access to bus services. In addition, students who have a packed schedule are unable to work around the strict scheduling of a typical school day making it difficult to juggle other responsibilities. Online private high schools solve this in that they work with the student to schedule classes around their schedule. This unique approach puts an emphasis and priority on the student.

2. Individualized Education

No prerecorded lectures. Everything is done live with the teacher as if it was an in-person class. This is great for both the student and the teacher as their able to develop a personalized relationship beyond the screen and allows each party to ask questions and get answers live. Another benefit is an increased accountability on the student. Many parents are hesitant about online schooling due to it being easy to skip class. Since online private high schools are so individualized, they often have plans in place for students to graduate early if they choose. Since Tenney School Live is modular, students are able to take as many courses as they wish. Working with our college counselors, students can begin building a plan to graduate from high school early if they choose. This can free up an extra year where they can later decide how to spend it.

5. Less Social Pressure

For many students, the large classrooms and busy hallways can be a bit much. Online schooling takes the social pressure off of the learning experience. That isn’t to say they won’t be able to communicate with other students either. Our students at Tenney School Live are able to take small group online classes where they can bond and meet other students in their grade level. The social aspect of school is still an important part but online schooling takes the stress out of the equation for students who are a little more anxious.

Online private high schools lower the tuition barrier for families seeking a private school experience. Because it’s online, the tuition is almost always significantly cheaper than in-school options. This doesn’t mean the quality isn’t as good either. Many online private schools use real private school teachers to teach. In our program, our online teachers are the exact same private school teachers as our in-person school. This means the curriculum and instruction is exactly the same.
